By presiding over a governmental seminar on February 24, 2024, whose objective was to gather all the necessary conditions for the organization of the national dialogue in April, the President of the Transition, President of the Republic, Head of State, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, made it clear to the government and members of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) that they wanted transparent and taboo-free discussions.

“At the end of the previous meeting, the Head of State emphasized the need for an inclusive and transparent dialogue, where all opinions and aspirations can be expressed without reservation,” said the presidential communication.

The participation of political parties, civil society, religious organizations, women, youth, and opinion leaders is essential to achieve a lasting national consensus.

Continuing the work that took place in Cap Caravane on February 10, the governmental seminar in Owendo was an opportunity for participants to discuss the draft decree that would convene and organize the national dialogue scheduled for April 2024, as well as the financial aspects related to it.
