Unknown to the general public before the coup d’état on August 30, 2023, Murielle Minkoue Minsta was propelled to the top of the state by the Transition President, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma, who made her the number 2 in the government.
Her real name Murielle Minkoue Mezui, married to Mintsa-Mi-Owono, the current Minister of Institutional Reform, was born on July 22, 1970 in Libreville.
In July 1989, she obtained her Baccalauréat, series B, from the Lycée Nationale Léon MBA. In 1996, she earned a Master’s degree in Economics from the Omar Bongo University in Libreville and then joined the National School of Magistracy (ENM).
In October 1998, she took the oath before the Court of Auditors to serve as a Magistrate and built her career there.
Prior to her appointment to the transition government on September 9, 2023, Murielle Minkoue Mezui, married to Mintsa-Mi-Owono, a Magistrate outside the hierarchy, held the position of Chamber President at the Court of Auditors since October 2018.
She is a Knight in the National Order of the Equatorial Star, married and mother of six (06) children.
The Transition President has made this somewhat discreet woman the driving force behind the institutional reform, a major program of the transition in Gabon.
