After a week of getting started marked by the distribution of badges, practical training, allocation of commissions, and recognition of the work environment, the 600 delegates to the inclusive national dialogue are getting down to business this Monday.

The work will truly begin this Monday. Each commission will start examining its files.

On Saturday, each commission received an excerpt of contributions from the populations based on specialties and sectors. The work will focus on reviewing these contributions to refine them and propose draft texts that will create decrees or laws to make all the grievances of the populations applicable.

“The ambition is to leave nothing out,” said Nicaise Moulombi, one of the delegates of the agriculture and environment sub-commission.

It is worth mentioning that three (3) commissions were established (political, economic, and social). They together comprise a total of twelve (12) sub-commissions evenly distributed.

The sub-commissions on political regime and institutions, national sovereignty, rights and freedoms, and state reforms and organization are under the supervision of the political commission. Meanwhile, the economic commission oversees the economy/finance, equipment/infrastructure/TP, employment, and agriculture/environment sub-commissions.

There are also 4 sub-commissions for the social commission: education, well-being, cultural heritage/values, and youth and sports.

It is through these different commissions and sub-commissions that delegates must express themselves on the words and woes that burden Gabon and provide effective and efficient therapies.

Opened during a grand ceremony on April 2nd at the Palais des Sports, the dialogue is taking place at the Stade de l’Amitié in Angondjè in the north of Libreville until April 30th, according to the official schedule. They are supervised by the Archbishop of Libreville, Monseigneur Jean Patrick Iba-ba. This clergyman was personally designated by the President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma.
