During a political seminar, the president of the Democratic and Republican Alliance (Adere), Armelle Doumalewa Yembi Yembi, reaffirmed her party’s total commitment to the ongoing transition process in Gabon. Wanting strong and independent institutions, this political party positions itself as a key player in the re-founding of the country.
During the political kick-off of her party, marked by an information and capacity-building seminar held on February 17, 2024 at its former Sobraga headquarters, the executive president of the Democratic and Republican Alliance (Adere), Armelle Doumalewa Yembi Yembi, firmly affirmed the deep commitment of Adere to the ongoing transition process in Gabon. She thus emphasized the crucial role of her party in the quest for a new beginning for the nation.
In a resolute approach to the establishment of strong and transparent institutions, Adere, through its executive president Armelle Doumalewa Yembi Yembi, highlights the active participation of her party in the ongoing transition process in Gabon. With dedicated members within the transition bodies and driven by a fervent desire to return to constitutional order, Adere asserts itself as a key player in the search for a new beginning for the country.
According to Adere, the success of this transition is imperative to guarantee a quick return to constitutional order and put an end to the abuses of the past. The political party expresses its willingness to actively support this process in order to build robust and independent institutions, free from political maneuvers and other manipulations that have long harmed the Gabonese people.
“Today, we support the transition because from this transition, we want strong institutions so that we no longer experience the pitfalls that we have known, with institutions at the mercy and manipulations that have caused grief to the Gabonese. The national dialogue is the appropriate place where every Gabonese, wherever they are, can contribute their vision for a new Gabon. This new Gabon will come through impartial, just, transparent, and fair texts, to allow democratic expression and the long-awaited change by the Gabonese,” said Mrs. Yembi Yembi.
For Adere, the Gabon of tomorrow must emerge through fair, equitable, and transparent reforms, allowing for authentic democratic expression and meeting the deep aspirations of the population.
