It’s now official! The Minister of Transport, Sea and Merchant Marine, Dieudonné Loïc Ndinga Moudouma, unveiled, during his appearance on the show Les Grands Dossiers on Sunday, February 25, 2024, the name of the new national airline.
It will be called Fly Gabon, which should be distinguished from Fly Air Gabon Holding, abbreviated as FLAGH, whose main purpose is to acquire shares, in any form, in all Gabonese or foreign companies whose activities are related to the airline industry.
FLAGH also aims to manage, control and enhance acquired shares in all countries, especially in OHADA Treaty member States, and particularly in the Gabonese Republic.
Fly Gabon will start its domestic flights with ATR planes, stated the government official.
For this, he met with certain aircraft manufacturers, including Boeing and Airbus, and recently stayed in Toulouse, France, where the choice was made for ATR planes.
These aircraft are currently being painted in the colors of the new company whose “logo is ready”.
