In an audio widely shared on social networks, former union leader and minister Christiane Bitougat says she no longer wants to hear about the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG, the former ruling party in Gabon for 55 years).

With the boldness and warrior spirit known to her, the former teacher even calls her former comrades witches, especially the PDG hierarchs who participated in the meeting that led to the removal of Ali Bongo Ondimba from his position as Distinguished Comrade President (DCP) of the former one-party state.

Regarding the reasons given to remove Ali Bongo Ondimba, Christiane Bitougat couldn’t care less since she was in the minority at the party’s last congress where she had mentioned the same reasons.

She mocks the fact that the PDG’s top hierarchy publicly acknowledges today the impotence and incapacity of the DCP, while she was ignored and reprimanded every time she warned about the risks of Ali Bongo Ondimba’s candidacy in the August 2023 presidential election, she asserts. True or false, no one will know.

Respect for the texts and dissolution of the PDG

Particularly offensive, Christiane Bitougat supports the approach of Francis Nkéa Nzigue, former minister and another dignitary of the PDG who has taken legal action, demanding the annulment of all decisions made at the last meeting of the fallen former party, the dissolution of the bodies that emerged from it, and the return to the previous organizational chart, pending the holding of a congress prepared and organized according to the statutes and relevant regulatory provisions of the party created by Omar Bongo on March 12, 1968.

The former union leader, who reaffirmed her support for the new strongmen of the CTRI (in power), goes even further by advocating for the outright dissolution of the Gabonese Democratic Party, which ruled Gabon for 55 years with a chaotic record, according to general opinion.
