Following the request filed the day before by Joséphine Nkama alias Patience Dabany, on Wednesday, April 3, the president of the lower court of Libreville summoned the eight executives of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG) mentioned by the applicant who contests her expulsion decided almost a month earlier. The civil hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday.
The decision by Sylvain Arthur Lendira was made this Wednesday, only 24 hours after Joséphine Nkama alias Patience Dabany submitted her request through her lawyer Me Jean-Paul Moumbembé. The president of the lower court of Libreville allowed the mother of Ali Bongo, who opposes her expulsion from the PDG on March 7, to summon all eight members of the executive board of the former ruling party.
Thus, on Tuesday, April 9 at 10 am sharp, the vice president of the PDG Paul Biyoghe Mba and his entourage are invited to appear for the civil hearing at the courthouse in Libreville. These include Alain-Claude Bilie-By-Nze, Jeannot Kalima, Yves Fernand Manfoumbi, Angélique Ngoma, Denise Mekamne, Antoine Menie, and Charles Otandault.
Patience Dabany has approached the lower court of Libreville for the “cessation of manifestly unlawful disturbances,” in accordance with Article 416 of the Civil Procedure Code. She argues that only the Permanent Discipline Committee (CPD), a specialized body of the party, has the power to expel her in case of misconduct. According to her, the decision of the current executives was taken illegally, in violation of the party’s statutes and internal regulations.
