Several associative movements and political parties of young Gabonese leaders have set up the “Coalition of the Youth Forces of the 9 Provinces” of Gabon, to make the voice of young people heard during this transition period, which seems to be forgotten.
“It has been established a COALITION OF THE YOUTH FORCES OF THE 9 PROVINCES where each young person will now have to become aware of their importance in society, express themselves freely and work together for the common good,” indicates a statement received by Gabonactu.com’s editorial staff.
During a meeting held on February 29, 2024 in Libreville under the leadership of two young leaders, Erwan Bayackaboma and Gaël Boucka Mbina, the young people denounced their exclusion in various areas such as politics, social issues, entrepreneurship, etc.
In addition to the prevailing unemployment, this stance, according to the coalition, “generates division in our society, not to mention community factions.” It denounces the lack of consideration for young people in important decisions made by the authorities, knowing that they play a crucial role in society.
Considering themselves to represent more than 75% of Gabonese society, the young Gabonese, through the Coalition of the Youth Forces of the 9 Provinces of Gabon, no longer want democracy to work against them but with them.
