The Secretary General of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), Angelique Ngoma, in her speech commemorating the 56th anniversary on March 12, 2024, under the seal of introspection, admitted the party’s share of responsibility in the loss of power.

“In the occurrence of this new configuration, the PDG, it must be admitted, has its share of responsibility; because as the party in power, we did not listen enough to our fellow citizens,” confessed Mrs. Ngoma.

For the new administrative head of Omar Bongo’s party, the time has come for all PDG militants to get involved in the reconstruction of the PDG and to reconcile with the Gabonese people.

“This is an opportunity, in my capacity as Secretary General of our party, to apologize to our militants, to our fellow citizens,” she said humbly.

This year, the PDG is celebrating its anniversary under the theme: “Assizes of self-criticism and rebuilding of the Gabonese Democratic Party.” They will take place from March 12 to 16.

As during its long reign in power, the PDG rallied its troops at the party headquarters in Louis in the 1st arrondissement of Libreville. Most of the prominent figures flocked to the place with their luxury vehicles. The festive atmosphere was present.
