The second FCV Gladiators Camp recently concluded at the Grande School in Lagos after five days of intensive training led by English and local coaches. Among the participants were over 100 students from schools in Lagos and surrounding areas. The clinic was organized by Dynaspro Promotion Limited in partnership with the UK-based FCV International Academy, with the primary goal of discovering hidden football talents in Nigeria.
At the end of the camp, four standout participants were awarded scholarships to train and study in the United Kingdom. The recipients of these scholarships were Chikwere Ikpo, Yakubu Danladi, Stephen Akhimien, and Sadiq Musa. They will have the opportunity to visit the FCV International Academy in the UK for a two-week training tour scheduled for July.
Mutiu Adepoju, a former Super Eagles star who served as a mentor during the camp, shared his own personal story of facing challenges and never giving up on his dreams. He emphasized the importance of resilience and encouraged all the participants to persevere in their pursuit of success. Adepoju commended the organizers for their efforts in promoting football development in Nigeria.
Senior Manager at FCV International Academy, Kerem Karacauli, expressed his satisfaction with the talent he observed during the camp. He highlighted Nigeria as a hub of football talent that needs to be nurtured and developed. Karacauli noted that while many of the players are still a work in progress, he sees great potential for improvement. He specifically praised the players’ ability to control the ball instinctively and make quick decisions on the field.
