Five judges deployed to handle 21 election petitions in Masaka

Five judges have been deployed to the Masaka High Court circuit to handle 21 election petitions arising from the January 2026 General Election.

Masaka High Court Deputy Registrar Roy Karungi said the judges assigned are Lady Justice Joyce Kavuma, Lady Justice Rosette Comfort Kania, Justice Benard Namanya, Lady Justice Christine Akello and Justice Tomas Ochaya.

She said the judges are expected to handle 16 petitions on Monday, September 14, while the remaining five will be handled on Tuesday, September 15, in a pretrial conference ahead of the hearing.
