Fish vendors warned over digital licenses, immature fish

Fish vendors have been urged to obtain digital licenses and stop dealing in immature fish or risk arrest.

The warning was issued by the UPDF 155 Marine Battalion during a compliance operation at Busega Market on Wednesday, September 2.

The operation, which followed a similar raid at Wandegeya Market, saw officials seize several tonnes of undersized fish after inspection.

The Commander of the operation, Capt. Muzamiru Gimogoyi, said the army is prioritising sensitization over punishment.
