The Senegal national team coach, Aliou Cissé, has unveiled his list of players selected for the March gathering, marking the first international break of the year 2024.

One month after their disappointment at the 2023 AFCON, being eliminated in the round of 16 by eventual champions Ivory Coast, Senegal is ready to return to the field. The Lions of Teranga will face Benin and Gabon in March, as part of the first international break of the year. The Senegalese will host the two teams at the Stade de la Licorne in Amiens, France on the 22nd and 26th of March.

For these two high-profile matches, coach Aliou Cissé has just released the list of selected players. The 47-year-old coach has called upon the key players in the squad including Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Lamine Camara, Pape Gueye, and Pape Matar Sarr. 5 new players have also been called up to join the team.

These players include former French U21 international Habib Diarra (midfielder, Strasbourg), central defender Arouna Sanganté from Le Havre, midfielder Mamadou Lamine Camara from RS Berkane in Morocco, central defender Seydou Sano from Al-Gharafa in Qatar, and 15-year-old prospect from Génération Foot, Amara Diouf.
