With a goal from Sadio Mané on a penalty kick, Senegal defeated Benin (1-0) on Tuesday evening at the Stade de la Licorne, in a friendly match.

After beating Gabon (3-0) last Friday, Senegal secured their second victory of the March international break on Tuesday. Under the guidance of Aliou Cissé, the team emerged victorious over Benin in a friendly match in Amiens, France. The Senegalese team won by a narrow margin of 1-0.

In a lively match, both teams had their moments of dominance. Benin was in control during the first half, with a well-organized team causing problems for Aliou Cissé’s players who struggled to find their rhythm. However, Benin failed to convert the chances created. The turning point could have come after the half-hour mark when Steve Mounié missed a penalty, saved by Seny Dieng.

On the other hand, the Senegalese team was more aggressive in the second half. Led by Sadio Mané, who was instrumental in the match, the Lions of Teranga scored the only goal of the match on the hour mark, with a penalty converted by the Al Nassr forward. This goal sealed the fate of the match, which ended with a 1-0 victory for Senegal.
