Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has said his dad, the late afrobeat pioneer and socio-political critic, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, didn’t fight the Nigerian government, contrary to popular opinion.

Fela was renowned for using his music to speak against societal ills and bad governance.

Featuring on a recent episode of the ‘Zero Conditions’ podcast, his son, Seun claimed he fought against the rich folks and not the government of the country.
