According to a source at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Super Falcons have been scheduled to play two friendly matches as part of their preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The NFF has made arrangements for the team to participate in these friendly matches in order to adequately prepare for the upcoming Olympics, which will take place from July 26 to April 11 in Paris, France.

The Super Falcons secured one of Africa’s two slots at the Olympics by defeating South Africa 1-0 on aggregate. As a result, the team is now gearing up for the games under the leadership of Head Coach Randy Waldrum. In response to Waldrum’s call for thorough preparation, the NFF has finalized plans to move the team to Europe towards the end of next month.

The NFF has agreed for the Super Falcons to play two friendly games during the FIFA women’s window, which is scheduled to take place from May 27 to June 4. Although the specific countries that the Super Falcons will face in these friendly matches have not been disclosed, the team’s backroom staff has been instructed to begin preparing for a training camp in Europe next month.

Following their victory over South Africa, the Super Falcons returned to Nigeria on Wednesday night. While most of the players and Coach Randy Waldrum went straight to their respective bases from Johannesburg, eight players and other team officials flew back to Lagos on a South African Airways flight. The team is now looking forward to the upcoming friendly matches as they continue their preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
