Ex-minister Kitutu corruption trial delayed over pending Court of Appeal case

The case came up for mention on Monday before Justice David Makumbi, who adjourned the proceedings to October 12 after Kitutu’s lawyer, Jude Byamukama, confirmed that the appeal had not yet been determined.

“The matter is pending judgment,” Mr Byamukama told court.

The judge said the court had no option but to adjourn the proceedings given the circumstances surrounding the case.

“Given the circumstances of the matter, this court has no option but to adjourn the matter,” Justice Makumbi ruled.
