A former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Michael Aondoakaa, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Aondoakaa announced his resignation in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Makurdi on Sunday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that before his resignation, Aondoakaa was one of the leading governorship aspirants of the APC in Benue State.
According to him, the resignation took effect from March 28 and followed what he described as careful reflection and extensive consultations with his family, political associates and supporters.
