Ethopia: Somaliland calls on UN to ‘urgently re-evaluate’ decision to lift Somalia arms embargo after local militias seize two truckloads of weapons

Addis Abeba – The government of Somaliland has called on the United Nations (UN) and the international community “to urgently re-evaluate their decision to lift the arms embargo” on Somalia.

“We urge the international community to take immediate steps to address this crisis and prevent further destabilization of the region,” according to a statement by the Somaliland Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued on Tuesday.
