Addis Abeba– The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has stated that the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) has “shown no indication” of preparing for its mandatory general assembly, despite multiple communications and an impending deadline of February 10, 2025.

In a letter dated 31 December, 2024, NEBE reminded the TPLF that it had been registered under “special circumstances” on August 9, 2024, in accordance with Proclamation No. 1332/2016.
