The government of Djibouti has announced a new development regarding the diplomatic tensions between the countries of Somalia and Ethiopia resulting from the historical maritime agreement reached between Abiy Ahmed and the president of Somaliland.
Djibouti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, in an interview with MM Somali TV, confirmed that a meeting between Hassan Sheikh and Abiy, which is aimed at reconciling their countries, is scheduled to take place. However, he did not provide a specific date for when the meeting will happen.
Mahamoud Ali Youssouf also confirmed that this meeting follows a previous meeting held in Kenya, as he explained in the video above.
