On 27 February 2024, the Ministry of Education’s branch in the Gala-Nefhi sub-zone organized a workshop aimed at improving the teaching and learning process. Held in Adi-Guaedad on 23 February, the event brought together educators and stakeholders to discuss advancements in educational methodologies.
The head of the education office in the sub-zone, Mr. Daniel Solomon, highlighted the workshop’s key objective: to assess the current educational landscape, identify strengths and challenges, maintain existing achievements, and address any issues identified. This initiative demonstrates a commitment to continual improvement in the sub-zone’s educational sector.
The workshop included various presentations, facilitating in-depth discussions among participants. These conversations aimed to create a collaborative environment where educators could exchange insights and strategies for enhancing the teaching and learning experience.
Participants also had the chance to propose ideas for incorporation into future educational programs, ensuring that initiatives remain dynamic and responsive to the needs of students and educators alike.
Mr. Belai Habtegabir, head of the education office in the Central Region, stressed the importance of community involvement in the educational process. He encouraged parents, teachers, and the broader school community to actively participate in promoting a student-centered approach to education, prioritizing the needs and potentials of students for their growth and development.
The workshop in the Gala-Nefhi sub-zone signifies a proactive approach to enhancing educational practices through collaborative efforts to ensure effective and enriching teaching and learning for all parties involved.
