Eritrea: Seminar on documentation and management of files – Africa Links 24

Asmara, 14 March 2024 – A seminar was held in the Central Region for heads of departments, branch managers, and sub-zone administrators focused on improving documentation and file management practices. The seminar emphasized the importance of efficient documentation in enhancing administrative operations.

Mr. Zerit Tewoldebrhan, the regional administration’s managing director, commended the seminar for its role in enhancing daily operations in the Central Region. He praised the PFDJ Research and Documentation Center for organizing the event and its contribution to administrative efficiency.

Led by Ms. Azieb Tewolde, the head of the Research and Documentation Center, the seminar covered topics such as the history of documentation, practical file management techniques, the connection between documentation and archiving, and the basics of effective reporting.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Tekie Keleta, the head of administration and finance at the regional administration, urged participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained in their daily work to promote a culture of meticulous record-keeping and information management in their respective areas.
