Eritrea: Public Diplomacy Activities by Diaspora Nationals – Africa Links 24

Asmara, 7 March 2024 – Eritrean nationals in Italy, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates engaged in public diplomacy activities.

Ambassador Fesehatsion Petros in Italy and Mr. Girmay Habtemicael in Germany conducted seminars for nationals residing in different cities. They provided updates on the current situation in Eritrea and emphasized the country’s commitment to development.

They encouraged the diaspora to acquire education and skills to contribute to the nation-building process and pass on core values to the youth.

In Germany, the YPFDJ organization held a meeting in Frankfurt where nationals were encouraged to actively participate in national affairs. A detailed annual report was presented by the chairman of the organization.

In the United Arab Emirates, the National Union of Eritrean Women branch in Abu Dhabi celebrated International Women’s Day with a statement from the chairperson of the union branch.
