President Isaias Afwerki returned to Asmara on 27 February 2024, concluding a three-day official visit to Egypt.
During the visit, President Isaias and President El-Sisi discussed strengthening bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
President Isaias and his delegation also toured the Egyptian National Museum and other historical and religious sites in Cairo, where they saw Pharaonic antiquities, mummies, and ancient artifacts that showcase ancient Egypt’s lifestyle.
Additionally, the delegation visited the Scientific Research and Livestock Development Training Center near Cairo, which focuses on advanced livestock development initiatives such as dairy cow crossbreeding and milk processing.
President Isaias embarked on this official visit on 24 February at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The delegation included Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
