On March 25, 2024, the Eritrean football championship concluded at Asmara Stadium after kicking off on March 10 in Asmara and Keren. The final match between Keih-Bahri and Denden Football Clubs was accompanied by cultural and artistic showcases.
Denden Club, representing the Ministry of Defense, emerged as the champion of the 2024 season, defeating Keih-Bahri Club with a score of 2-1. This victory was a significant achievement for the Denden team in Eritrean football.
Mr. Paulos Woldehaimanot, the President of the Football Federation, noted the tournament’s participation from 10 clubs across Eritrea and the Ministry of Defense. He stressed the championship’s role in promoting a competitive spirit among the clubs and fostering the development of football in the country.
At the championship’s conclusion, Denden Club received the Gold Medal and a prize of 100,000 Nakfa, while Keih-Bahri Club was awarded the Silver Medal and 75,000 Nakfa. Individual awards were also presented to the best goalkeeper, player, goal scorer, and the most disciplined club, recognizing excellence and sportsmanship in Eritrean football.
