Asmara, 22 March 2024- Eritrean Athlete Samson Amare won the Gold Medal at the All African Games half marathon competition in Accra, Ghana today, 22 March.
Athlete Samson completed the 21 km race in 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 4 seconds, with athletes from Ghana and Zimbabwe taking second and third place respectively.
In the women’s half marathon competition, Eritrean Athlete Rigbe Habteselasie finished in eighth place.
Eritrea is participating in five different sports at the 13th edition of the All Africa Games.
