Asmara, 17 March 2024 – An activity assessment meeting for the first half of the 2023/2024 academic year was held by the Ministry of Education’s branch in the Central Region on 15 March.

Mr. Belai Habtegabir, the head of the education office in the region, emphasized the importance of activity assessments in maintaining achievements and addressing challenges. He encouraged participants to provide valuable ideas for future progress.
Reports from education office heads in the sub-zones highlighted the positive impact of meetings with school heads on the teaching and learning process. They called for ongoing training programs for supervisors and school heads to enhance their skills and contribute effectively to education.
Col. Gebrehans Woldegerigis, the Director General of Social Service in the Central Region, emphasized the importance of the presented reports in guiding future activities. He urged all stakeholders to actively participate in this effort.
The Central Region currently houses 148 preschools, 103 elementary schools, 51 junior high schools, and 22 high schools, all dedicated to providing educational services.
