By Alya Hamza: The artisans of Hirafen honored

It was only a fair tribute. Last Saturday, in the former weaving workshops of the Crafts Office, where the superb Hirafen exhibition is taking place, a magnificent meeting between artists and artisans, homage was paid to those hands that have sublimated artistic creations. Tunisian officials were keen to decorate these artisans and honor them. The exhibition is organized by Talan and Aïcha Gorgi, whose performance was not the first. Indeed, we remember the very beautiful Gorgi exhibition presented by this dynamic duo a few years ago at the Kheïreddine Palace. Going back to Hirafen, if you haven’t seen it yet, hurry, it will end soon.

The carnivorous crane

Nothing seems to stop it. Day and night, Sundays and holidays, the crane tirelessly crisscrosses the streets of the good city of La Marsa, making the lives of motorists a real hell. And not only them. Merchants also suffer seriously. Who would have the audacity or the recklessness to go queue at the ice cream vendor, or wait calmly for a fricassé when they know the crane is a threat?

As for the residents, they no longer sleep soundly, anxiously waiting for the macarons promised to them since time immemorial.

Kenza Fourati

She is a model, has graced the covers of the biggest fashion magazines and walked for the most sought-after designers. But even though she lives in the USA, her Tunisian spirit continues to resonate. Therefore, Kenza Fourati decided to present a selection of carefully selected Tunisian products, designed by talented designers, which immediately won over her entourage. Her label bears the beautiful name of Osay, which is the acronym for “Our story is yours”, or “Our story is yours”.

Thalasso for your horses

We had heard of a hotel for happy dogs, but not yet of a thalasso for tired horses. Be that as it may, it is now a reality. In Chaffar, on the outskirts of Sfax beach, a magnificent center has just opened. There you will find very beautiful horse accommodation facilities, work tracks, paddocks, mechanical arenas, and… a swimming pool for horses preparing for big competitions. It is true that when it comes to racehorses that can bring fortunes, they are worth it.

Houmtek

This is the new community project launched by the Focus Gabès association. It aims to animate public spaces by creating a place capable of hosting various cultural activities such as film screenings, concerts, artistic performances, workshops, or workshops. It was decided to create this space in the heart of Chatt Salem, the area most affected by ecological problems. Culture, we know, and we hope, reconciles with everything.

Gabès Cinema FEN

The Gabès Cinema Fen festival celebrates its sixth edition from April 27 to May 1. This annual festival dedicated to the moving image, meaning cinema, video, and virtual reality, will offer this year a program focused on specific cinematographic universes and aesthetic journeys. The chosen themes will reflect the environmental, economic, and cultural challenges the city is facing. This brave and intelligent festival is taking its place in the national and international calendar, while addressing specifically regional problems.

Flavors of the year

Tuna and eggs, mozzarella and coffee, halva and couscous, and finally hlalem and nouasser, from different labels that we will not name for fear of forgetting, but that you will recognize, were consecrated during the eleventh edition of the Flavors of the year. This year’s theme was “The festive taste demand of consumers”. As Ramadan begins, this is appropriate.
