Police in Mukono District have arrested four people following an alleged break-in at Electoral Commission offices in the district, where election materials were reportedly tampered with on Sunday night.

The alleged incident comes as courts across the country begin hearing petitions arising from the 2026 General Election.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachel Kawala said police had opened an inquiry into the reported break-in at the Electoral Commission offices in Mukono.
