The Joint Operations Command of the UAE Ministry of Defense recently announced the eleventh airdrop of humanitarian aid in the northern Gaza Strip. This operation, known as the “Birds of Goodness,” involves cooperation between the air forces of the UAE and Egypt to deliver essential aid to those in need.

In this latest airdrop, two planes carried a total of 24 tonnes of food and relief aid to inaccessible isolated areas in the northern Gaza Strip. This brings the total amount of aid delivered through the “Birds of Goodness” operation to 462 tonnes, demonstrating the ongoing commitment to supporting the people of Gaza.

The “Birds of Goodness” operation is just one part of the larger ‘Chivalrous Knight III’ humanitarian operation aimed at providing much-needed assistance to the residents of the Gaza Strip. This initiative has been particularly active during the holy month of Ramadan, with the UAE doubling its relief efforts to help those in need.

The aid being provided is made possible through the combined efforts of various charitable institutions in the UAE, including the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KF), the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and more. These organizations work together to ensure that those affected by conflict and crisis in the region receive the assistance they require to meet their basic needs.

Through these airdrops of essential supplies, the UAE and Egypt are demonstrating their commitment to humanitarian efforts in the region. By working together to provide critical aid, they are making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing hardships in the Gaza Strip. The ongoing support of these countries and their charitable institutions is crucial in helping to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable populations and improve the overall quality of life in the region.

As the “Birds of Goodness” operation continues to deliver aid to those in need, it serves as a reminder of the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in addressing humanitarian crises. By coming together to support the most vulnerable members of society, countries like the UAE and Egypt are making a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.
