An official source in North Sinai has announced that a total of 207 trucks loaded with fuel, cooking gas, and aid have entered the Gaza Strip through two different border crossings. Out of these, 123 trucks, transporting relief and humanitarian aid, entered through the Karm Abu Salem crossing in central Sinai, while 84 trucks came through the Rafah border crossing.
The specific contents of the trucks that entered through the Rafah land crossing included 78 trucks of relief and humanitarian aid, as well as medicines, medical supplies, two fuel trucks, and four cooking gas trucks designated for homes, according to the source.
The Egyptian Red Crescent, an organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid, has been actively involved in overseeing the volume of aid destined for the Gaza Strip. As part of its efforts, the organization has reviewed the aid that has been entering Gaza through the Rafah border crossing since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza.
The organization has reported that a total of 528 planes have landed at al-Arish International Airport, and 34 ships have docked at various ports, including the sea port of al-Arish, Port Said, and Suez. These aircraft and vessels have been carrying aid provided by 40 Arab and foreign countries, as well as 13 regional and international organizations, all intended for the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, the Egyptian Red Crescent has disclosed that 7,179 trucks have been deployed to transport 111,490 tons of various types of relief aid to the Gaza Strip. Notably, this total includes 4,688 trucks carrying 70,608 tons of food supplies, highlighting the significant efforts made to address the critical humanitarian needs of the region.
