The Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, Ghada Shalaby, announced on Saturday 03/02/2024 that the ministry would soon launch a unified platform for health tourism, offering both medical and healing services. Speaking at a press conference on the Egypt Health Tourism International Conference, Shalaby revealed that the platform would be introduced as part of the activities of the health tourism conference scheduled for March 2nd and 3rd.
Shalaby emphasized that the ministry’s objective is to position Egypt’s health tourism on the global map of health tourism. In line with this goal, the Tourism Ministry aims to establish partnerships with international experts to identify Egypt’s medical tourism destinations and develop a unified strategy for Egypt’s health tourism. The deputy minister stressed the importance of attracting investments in this vital domain.
The upcoming unified platform for health tourism is expected to offer a wide range of medical and healing services to cater to the needs of tourists seeking healthcare in Egypt. This initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to diversify and expand the country’s tourism offerings, thereby contributing to the overall growth and development of Egypt’s tourism sector.
Furthermore, the platform will serve as a comprehensive resource for both domestic and international visitors, providing access to information about medical facilities, healthcare providers, and wellness services available in Egypt. By consolidating this information into a single platform, the ministry aims to streamline the process for tourists seeking health-related services while visiting the country.
In addition to the launch of the unified platform, the Egypt Health Tourism International Conference aims to bring together industry experts, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders to discuss and exchange knowledge on the latest developments and trends in health tourism. The conference will provide a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, with the ultimate goal of advancing Egypt’s position in the global health tourism market.
With the rapid growth of the global health tourism industry, Egypt is strategically positioned to capitalize on this trend and leverage its unique attractions and resources to attract health-conscious travelers from around the world. By fostering collaborations with international experts and stakeholders, the ministry aims to position Egypt as a leading destination for health and wellness tourism, thereby contributing to the country’s economic growth and development.
As the deputy minister highlighted, the launch of the unified platform and the Egypt Health Tourism International Conference are pivotal steps in the ministry’s overarching strategy to promote and develop Egypt’s health tourism sector. Through strategic partnerships, investments, and targeted initiatives, the ministry seeks to enhance the country’s reputation as a premier destination for medical and wellness tourism, ultimately contributing to the long-term sustainability and success of Egypt’s tourism industry.
