The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue expressed their gratitude towards Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly for his dedication to the outcomes of the National Dialogue sessions. They also commended Madbouly for his instructions to the government to actively engage in the economic dialogue sessions scheduled to begin on Monday for four days. These sessions will include representatives from the government, relevant ministries, experts, and specialists.
During a meeting with the members of the National Dialogue’s Board of Trustees, Madbouly announced the formation of a joint coordination group to oversee the implementation of the recommendations and outcomes of the first phase of the National Dialogue sessions with the relevant ministries. He emphasized the importance of conducting general and specialized discussions within the National Dialogue to identify the priorities of national work in the upcoming phase.
Madbouly also highlighted President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s strong interest in the National Dialogue and his consistent directives to the government to promptly translate the outcomes and recommendations into actionable plans that contribute to achieving goals in various sectors. To ensure the successful implementation of the first phase’s outcomes, a group was established by the Prime Minister’s Technical Office and the Information and Decision Support Center to monitor the implementation of recommendations with the relevant ministries after the Cabinet drafts an executive plan.
In accordance with Sisi’s instructions, all ministers and relevant officials have been assigned to participate and engage positively in the general and specialized discussion sessions of the second phase. The Prime Minister discussed the current economic challenges and the government’s efforts to address them, underscoring the importance of discussing various issues and proposing solutions during the second phase sessions to assist decision-makers in addressing these challenges effectively.
The meeting was attended by General Coordinator of the National Dialogue Diaa Rashwan, Economic Axis rapporteur Ahmed Galal, and Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Dialogue Mahmoud Fawzi. The attendees were briefed on the government’s efforts to tackle economic challenges and the importance of active participation in the National Dialogue to generate results that can aid decision-makers in addressing critical issues.
Overall, the National Dialogue’s Board of Trustees and Prime Minister Madbouly are committed to advancing the dialogue process and ensuring that the outcomes are translated into tangible plans for the benefit of the nation.
