President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expressed on Friday that the State has made significant strides in enhancing, developing, and reforming the economic situation. He reassured that everything is progressing well and there are no issues with the availability of goods and supplies.

During his visit to the Police Academy headquarters, President Sisi interacted with new students to convey his greetings on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan. He acknowledged the cadets for successfully completing their intensive training period and commended the level of achievement they have reached. President Sisi emphasized that the training will continue in the upcoming period following their break.

In his address, President Sisi extended his wishes to the families of the students at the Police Academy for Ramadan and also sent greetings to the Christian community observing the Great Lent. He highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing the human capital as a crucial element in achieving overall development, progress, and discipline within the state.

President Sisi delved into Egypt’s internal affairs over the past four years, citing challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russian crisis, and the conflict in Gaza that have significantly impacted the country’s economy. However, he noted that recent measures have been taken to steer the economy back on track towards improvement and correction. Notably, Egypt has reached a preliminary agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and garnered support from the World Bank and the European Union, alongside other known initiatives.

The President reiterated the decisive steps taken to reform and develop the economic situation, affirming that progress is being made. He assured that issues pertaining to goods and supplies stuck at ports have been resolved, indicating a positive trajectory in the country’s internal conditions.

President Sisi condemned the ongoing violence and loss of life in Gaza, emphasizing Egypt’s sincere efforts to broker a ceasefire and protect innocent civilians in the region. He highlighted the devastating impact of the conflict, with a significant number of casualties and infrastructure damage in Gaza, necessitating substantial reconstruction efforts.

Egypt’s collaborative efforts with other countries to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza were underscored by President Sisi, who stressed the imperative of addressing the humanitarian crisis and ensuring the well-being of Gazans. He emphasized the need for a ceasefire and the delivery of essential aid to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in the enclave.

President Sisi warned against further escalation in Gaza, emphasizing Egypt’s commitment to facilitating the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with international recognition. He acknowledged the repercussions of the Gaza conflict on navigation in the Red Sea and Suez Canal, as well as its adverse effects on international trade.

In conclusion, President Sisi expressed optimism for a potential ceasefire agreement in the near future, underscoring Egypt’s continued efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.
