The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has announced a forecast of dropping temperatures and rainfall across the country. The temperatures are expected to drop by four to five degrees Celsius, with some areas reaching as low as three degrees.
According to the EMA, Tuesday’s weather will be cold during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt. However, the weather will be warmer in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt. It is expected to be very cold at night and early morning in most parts of the country. Frost is expected to form on crops in central Sinai and New Valley Governorate.
A 50 percent chance of moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in areas of Alexandria, the northern coasts, and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals. Additionally, light to moderate rainfall is expected in areas of southern Lower Egypt and the Suez Canal cities.
In central Sinai, Cairo, Giza, Qalyubiya, and northern Upper Egypt, there is an approximately 30 percent chance of light intermittent rainfall.
The expected temperatures for Tuesday are as follows:
– Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northern coasts, Northern Upper Egypt: 19°C
– Southern Upper Egypt: 24°C
The EMA’s forecast points to a significant drop in temperatures accompanied by rainfall across various parts of Egypt. This weather pattern is expected to impact agricultural regions, as frost may form on crops in certain areas.
