A total of 1,526 passengers crossed the Rafah land crossing in North Sinai in both directions between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, alongside the entry of 93 fuel and aid trucks into the Strip. According to a source in North Sinai, on Tuesday, 1,567 individuals arrived in Egyptian territory from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land crossing gate. This included 38 wounded individuals, 54 patients, 258 escorts, and 1,147 Palestinian citizens.
Various aid groups and nations dispatched personnel to assist with the crossing, including nine individuals from the Red Cross, one from the Glia Foundation, two doctors from Malaysia, three individuals from the International First Aid, three from the Save the Child Foundation, one from the UK Med, twelve from the United Nations, twelve from BAMA, one person from the ACTED Foundation, three from CADUS, four from Fajr Scientific, one from the International Guarantee, two from Doctors Without Borders, four from the Ideals Foundation, one from the Enlightenment Foundation, one from the Action Against Hunger Foundation, and five from the Handicap Foundation. Five individuals from the Emirates also assisted with the process.
A total of 59 passengers departed Egyptian territory for the Gaza Strip through the crossing gate, including 16 Palestinian citizens, a representative from the Anera Foundation, 25 individuals from the United Nations, five individuals from the Emirates, and 12 individuals from the Red Cross. Additionally, 93 trucks were granted entry through the Rafah land crossing gate. This included four private cooking gas trucks, 35 trucks carrying various aid supplies, and 54 private sector trucks.
The aid and private sector trucks transported a variety of goods including food, flour, clothing, shoes, cleaning materials, medical supplies, medicines, drinking water, vegetables, fruits, rice, and frozen foods. The entry of these trucks was coordinated with the Egyptian Red Crescent, its Palestinian counterpart in the Gaza Strip, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), based on the needs of the Strip and after following necessary procedures.
The Egyptian authorities opened the Rafah land crossing in North Sinai to facilitate the entry of aid trucks into the Gaza Strip and to receive wounded and injured Palestinians, their companions, as well as Palestinian and Egyptian passport holders. Additionally, UN and solidarity delegations are permitted to enter the Strip.
