During a meeting with Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CMA CGM Group Rodolphe Saadé, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expressed his appreciation for the strong ties between Egypt and France, as well as the cooperation between Egypt and the leading worldwide container shipping company CMA CGM. The President also praised the French company’s role in developing Egyptian ports and enhancing their logistical efficiency, in line with the state’s plan to transform these ports into trade and service centers as part of the effort to elevate Egypt’s status as an international trade and logistics hub.
The meeting, which was attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir, and Head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Osama Rabie, provided an opportunity for Saadé to update al-Sisi on the latest projects undertaken by CMA CGM in Egypt. The Chairman also commended the cooperation atmosphere between the two entities and expressed the company’s eagerness to expand cooperation to include new projects, capitalizing on the promising work opportunities in Egypt, particularly in the development of ports and logistics trade centers.
