The Egyptian Cabinet’s spokesperson Mohamed al-Hommsani recently addressed speculation regarding the state’s load-shedding plan in a telephone interview with TV host Lamis al-Hadidi on “Last Word” (Kalema Akhera) TV show. There were rumors circulating that the state’s load-shedding plan would increase to three hours following the end of Ramadan, but Hommsani clarified that this was not the case. He stated that the plan to reduce the electrical load would follow the same timing as before the beginning of Ramadan.
Before Ramadan, load shedding extended for two hours in each area between 11 am to 5 pm, and according to Hommsani, it will return in the same order without any changes. He reassured the public that they would revert to the previous situation for each area in the load shedding plan, with the same schedules as before.
Regarding the end date of the load shedding plan, Hommsani explained that it is being monitored by the Prime Minister, and the state is actively working to overcome all economic challenges. He emphasized that once the necessary capabilities are available, the load-shedding plan would be terminated. He urged citizens to stand by the state, as the power outages would come to an end as soon as resources are provided and the state is able to resolve the issue of reducing loads.
Hommsani’s statements aimed to provide clarity and reassurance to the public amidst concerns about potential changes to the load-shedding plan. By confirming that the plan would remain consistent with its pre-Ramadan schedule and reiterating the government’s commitment to addressing economic challenges, he sought to alleviate any anxieties surrounding the situation.
It is evident that the government is actively working towards a resolution that will benefit both the state and its citizens. The emphasis on the need for resources and support from the public underscores the collaborative effort required to address the issue of load shedding effectively. With a clear communication strategy and a commitment to transparency, the Egyptian government is taking steps to navigate through this challenging period and ensure a reliable supply of electricity for its people.
In conclusion, Mohamed al-Hommsani’s reassurances regarding the state’s load-shedding plan provide clarity and hope for a resolution to the current situation. By maintaining transparency and addressing concerns head-on, the government is taking proactive steps to overcome economic challenges and ensure a stable supply of electricity for its citizens.
