The State is currently devising a plan to establish modern, civilized markets in all governorates, with a particular focus on Port Said as a trading hub. Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali Moselhi, emphasized the importance of these new markets being in line with developmental and service-related advancements, as well as their ability to control road encroachments. This statement was made during the minister’s inspection tour of the Downtown store complex in Al-Arab neighborhood in the heart of Port Said.

During this tour, the minister was accompanied by Port Said Governor Adel Al Ghadban and the two also visited an exhibition at the new Port Said ‘Bazaar’ market. This market offers products at discounted prices, as part of the governorate’s efforts to control prices and make goods more accessible to the local community.

The establishment of modern markets in all governorates, especially in Port Said, as a trading hub, is a significant step towards enhancing the economic infrastructure of the region. These new markets not only promote economic growth but also address the issue of road encroachments which can hinder the overall development of the area.

By focusing on the development of these modern markets, the State is seeking to promote growth and accessibility, as well as to ensure that the local community has access to a wide range of goods and products. This will not only benefit the residents of Port Said but also contribute to the overall economic development of the governorate.

The commitment to establishing modern markets demonstrates the government’s dedication to providing essential services and fostering economic development in all governorates, thereby improving the overall quality of life for citizens. The establishment of these markets is a positive step towards creating a more prosperous and vibrant local economy.
