Dr. Muhammad Maait, the Minister of Finance, recently engaged in a bilateral meeting with Anwar Al-Mudhaf, the Kuwaiti Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, during the Eighth Public Finance Forum in Dubai. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to deepen bilateral relations and exchange views on mechanisms for dealing with current global challenges.
At the start of the meeting, Minister Maait congratulated his Kuwaiti counterpart on assuming his new responsibility and expressed his hope for his success. He specifically mentioned the Suez Canal Economic Zone as an area that presents attractive opportunities for investment flows.
Furthermore, the Minister emphasized the Egyptian government’s focus on small and microenterprises, noting that this has been reflected in the approval of more favorable tax and customs incentives for this vital sector. This underscores the government’s commitment to fostering the growth and development of small businesses in Egypt.
