The Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, recently met with representatives of General Electric to discuss the progress of joint projects. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Arab Health Exhibition, which is being held from January 28 to February 1.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Health and General Electric discussed their collaboration in supporting the Egyptian medical sector. One of the key areas of collaboration is the provision of the latest diagnostic devices of various types to enhance healthcare in the country.

According to Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s spokesperson, General Electric has been involved in a project to upgrade old Computed Tomography (CT) scanners with modern tomography technologies. This upgrade is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of diagnostic services in Egypt.

Additionally, General Electric has contributed to the mobile radiology units project by providing a high-quality mobile computed tomography unit. This has expanded access to diagnostic services for citizens, particularly those in underserved areas.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Health and General Electric represents a significant step towards improving healthcare in Egypt. By leveraging the expertise and resources of both parties, the aim is to enhance the quality and accessibility of medical services across the country.
