Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry embarked on a diplomatic mission on Friday evening to visit Qatar and Saudi Arabia, according to spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen relations and address regional issues in the Middle East.

In Qatar, Shoukry is scheduled to co-chair the Egyptian-Qatari joint higher committee’s meeting with Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. The discussions will cover various aspects of bilateral cooperation at the political, economic, and security levels. Additionally, the meeting will focus on regional challenges, particularly the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip.
