Taking place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) from February 19 to 21, EGYPES is a premier event held under the patronage of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and hosted by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The theme of this year’s EGYPES is “Driving Energy Transition, Security, and Decarbonisation”. The event aims to bring together energy and related industries to align on the lower-carbon, high-growth future of energy. It builds on an annual legacy of global collaboration to showcase and platform cutting-edge technologies and systems critical to achieving global energy transition.

EGYPES 2024 will, for the first time, present itself as a comprehensive platform that covers all variables of the energy industry. The aim is to be more inclusive of current global trends in the energy industry such as energy transition, reducing emissions, decarbonizing the petroleum and gas industry, and hydrogen production.

The event is expected to unlock tangible investment opportunities in Egypt’s lucrative energy market, uniting primary stakeholders to play critical roles in the region’s upcoming projects worth more than $1 billion in the oil and natural gas sector in the Western Desert region of Egypt. The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, His Excellency Tarek El Molla, highlighted the transformative role of EGYPES in the regional energy landscape and the importance of the conference’s shift to cover global energy transition and emissions reduction.

Additionally, Egypt’s great potential in the hydrogen industry was emphasized due to its strategic location between producing and consuming countries. EGYPES 2024 will also delve into the challenges and opportunities inherent in achieving significant carbon reductions and will champion influential thought leadership on decarbonisation and methane reduction strategies.

The conference is expected to bring together global industry leaders, stakeholders, and government officials to drive real conversation on energy dialogues of global significance. The multi-faceted conference program will spotlight the urgency to deliver energy security and accelerate actions to decarbonize to meet net-zero commitments, driving change strategically and technically.

New for 2024, EGYPES will be hosting the inaugural African Dialogue Conference, bringing together influential African stakeholders to address critical challenges related to policies, regulations, natural gas infrastructure development, and Africa’s potential to leverage its abundant energy resources for a more prosperous and sustainable energy future.

EGYPES 2024 aims to advance energy discussions on a global scale and drive real change to help meet net-zero commitments and promote a secure and equitable energy supply for all.
