Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Hamdy Sanad Loza, led Egypt’s delegation to the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Executive Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers, which commenced in Addis Ababa on Friday, March 15, 2024.
The Foreign Ministry shared on its Facebook page that the ministerial meeting’s agenda focused on deliberating the mechanisms and guidelines for the election of the African Union Commission’s leadership. These elections are set to take place during the upcoming AU Summit in February 2025.
