On a tragic Sunday in Giza, eight workers lost their lives when a boat sank in the Nile River at Monshaet al-Qanater area. The boat, which was carrying a total of 14 workers, had civilian and river rescue forces come to the aid and rescue six individuals from the water.
Initial investigations conducted by security services revealed that the workers were employees of a contracting company en route to a construction site near the scene of the incident.
