Reality TV star and actress Venita Akpofure has shared her advice for young people considering marriage, urging them not to rush into it until they have thoroughly enjoyed their youth. As a divorced mother of two, Venita emphasized the importance of taking the time to explore life and make informed decisions before settling down.
During a recent interview with Cool FM Nigeria in Lagos, hosted by Tacha, Venita expressed her belief that marrying at a young age is not a wise decision, as individuals go through significant changes and growth as they get older. She advised young people to focus on enjoying their lives and only consider marriage when they feel ready and have thoroughly explored different aspects of life.
Specifically, Venita disclosed that she would advise her own daughter not to consider marriage until the age of at least 28, as she believes that individuals need time to truly understand themselves and what they want before making such a significant commitment. She acknowledged that while some individuals may be mature beyond their years, it is important to have experienced various aspects of life before deciding to settle down.
Furthermore, Venita shared her vision of an ideal marriage, describing a scenario where she and her husband would live in separate houses with a “magnificent corridor” connecting their homes. This unique perspective on marriage reflects Venita’s belief that individuals should have their own space and independence while also sharing a strong and meaningful connection with their partner.
Overall, Venita’s message to young people is to prioritize personal growth, exploration, and enjoyment of life before considering marriage. By encouraging individuals to wait until they feel truly ready and have gained valuable life experiences, she hopes to promote thoughtful and fulfilling relationships in the future.
