The thirteenth edition of the Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation Charity Golf Tournament is quickly approaching, and the organisers are proud to announce the support of several notable corporate bodies and charitable individuals for the event.
Scheduled to take place on February 24, 2024, at the Golf Section of Ikoyi Club 1938 in Ikoyi, Lagos, this highly anticipated event is renowned for its exceptional quality and standards. The DOAM Foundation has confirmed the support of various corporate bodies, including ARM Pension, Sparkle, Cappa & D’Alberto, Radial Circle Group, Access Bank, Guinness, Chikki Foods Industries, Vacation Places, 7-Up Bottling Company, Globus Bank, SPAR Mixta Nigeria, Ikoyi Club 1938, and many others.
Following the qualifying event on February 3, 2024, over 150 players have secured spots in the final round. These players will be joined by guest players, ensuring a competitive and exciting tournament.
Ruth Nwachukwu, the Foundation’s Media Lead, expressed gratitude for the support of corporate sponsors and kind individuals, emphasizing that their contributions will enable the foundation to continue providing education and healthcare to less privileged children and youth in our society. Since its establishment, the foundation has positively impacted over 93,000 lives through a variety of life-improvement programmes for the less privileged. These programmes have been made possible by funds raised from the annual golf event.
The tournament will culminate in a cocktail event in the evening, providing an opportunity for attendees to interact with partners and donors. The event will also include prize presentations to the tournament winners, adding an extra element of excitement and celebration.
The Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation was established to honor the memory of Daniel Ogechi Akujobi, a young boy whose life was tragically cut short. In his memory, the foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of less privileged children and youth by providing them with access to education, healthcare, and other essential resources.
