I am writing this from Kiburara. The place is so hot I would like to run away. Kiburara is located between River Nyamughasani and River Kanyambara (four kilometres apart), yet with these two rivers so close, Kiburara always experiences regular crop failure due to the absence of water.

Why am I not saying absence of rain? Because “what we really need is water; not necessarily rain”, as President Museveni once said in 1986.
