Davido pays homage to late singer, Sound Sultan

Afrobeats singer Davido has paid homage to his late colleague, Sound Sultan, in the music video of his hit song, 10 Kilo.

The video, directed by Director Pink, featured scenes with a backdrop of Sound Sultan’s picture and plus-size models dancing in front of the banner.

Davido’s 10 Kilo, which honours plus-size women, has similar lyrics to Sound Sultan’s hit song Orobo, which also celebrated plus-size women.

Sound Sultan released a remix version of Orobo with Flavour in 2013, and the song dominated airwaves in Nigeria and West Africa.
